The White Horse, Threlkeld, Keswick, CA12 4SY

Blencathra, often referred to as Saddleback because of its iconic shape is one of the most famous of all the Lake District mountains. One of the most northerly fells, it stands proudly over Keswick boasting fantastic views of Skiddaw, Derwent water and the north western fells. Sharp edge is grade 1 scramble than can be challenging but as Alfred Wainwright said, with nerves of steel, a head for heights and steady hands, it’s very achievable and a huge adrenaline rush!
