• Extremely Warm: Simply the warmest jacket in town. These jackets will feature down added to advanced construction technologies such as Heat Seal Construction.

How to choose your women’s down jackets

Women’s down jackets can be insulated with synthetic insulation or down. There are two classical options with down jackets, and each of them provides a set of advantages:

• A synthetic insulation jacket will offer be cheaper and more resistant insulation. Typically used in city parka, coats or in entry level mountain jackets, the synthetic insulated jacket does not fear the water, it’s often treated so the rain does not affect its thermal capacity. But synthetic insulated jackets also have a lesser weight to warm ratio: They’re usually less compressible and more importantly, they deliver less warmth to your body.
• A down insulation jacket, made from light, fluffy feathers, is the ultimate warmth standard. A down jacket keeps your body warm efficiently and protects you from the cold, all day long. It’s also light and packable, meaning that when the sun comes back, you can put your down jacket in your backpack!

We have designed four different levels of waterproofness to keep you sheltered from the rain:

• No protection: These jackets offer no protection against the rain. They are solely a thermal layer. These types of women’s down jackets are often extremely light, easy to pack and ideal for wearing underneath a raincoat.
• Drizzle: This type of jacket has a light water protection called a water-repellent treatment. This means that the jacket has no waterproof membrane but a surface treatment that helps the water slide on it without penetrating the insulation.
• Rain: An Omni‑Tech™ waterproof/breathable membrane is here to protect you from the rain. This waterproof membrane is an excellent solution to stay dry in the long run.
• Downpour: It’s an upgraded Omni‑Tech™ waterproof/breathable membrane with seams fully sealed.
