Columbia is the official outerwear, performance apparel and footwear partner to the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association – the most decorated skiing association in the world with over 50 athletes competing in Aerials, Moguls, Half-pipe and Slopestyle. At the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Alex Bilodeau became the first Canadian ever to win Olympic gold on home soil. This season, Mikael Kingsbury won the overall World Cup Title for a 2nd straight year to go along with his World Championships victory, while Alex Bilodeau and Chloe Dufour-Lapointe won the Dual Moguls World Championships and the team won their 8th straight FIS Nations Cup.
The Canadian team relies on Millennium Flash Shell Jacket for competitions and the Fusion Exact Jacket for long, cold training days, paired with the Millennium Blur pant and Columbia’s Omni-Heat baselayer pieces. During the summer, the Canadian Freestyle Ski Athletes train in Columbia’s Omni-Freeze ZERO products. Un-patched versions of all of these styles are available to consumers for purchase online Columbia.com.
